This year the Zone Groups [link] are on a mission to break down the barriers between artists and those known as *taggers*. Taggers may use a full graphic or a tube, (where the main charecter of the graphic has been removed from the rest of the background) and add elements, filters, background etc to make a different form of art that is used in emails, on community boards etc.

Taggers have, in the past earned a bad reputation as they have been seen to be non copyright compliant, taking images from the net as their own, however the last 5/6 years has thankfully seen a swing away from this ideology and it is becoming more and more the norm for taggers to credit the artists work they use, and rightly so.

Whilst not the only group, The Zone Groups - and it's forerunners - has long been a champion of artists rights and assisted taggers to become copyright compliant with a very informative [link] Copyright Lessons Board.

We also believe in giving back to the artists who allow us to use their work, in the form of promotion through activites members take part in, and inviting artists to take part in a chat.

We have formed very good relationships with artists who have visited us and indeed earned acclaim [link]

Well well well, I couldnt log into deviantart for eons and came to delete this account and make a new one, that was the trick threaten deletion and it worked, so I am back
